My inspiration for this innovation project came from the positive and negative space created by pieces from the MoDiP collection. I concentrated on line work, expressing the outlines and shapes created by these interesting pieces of modern design. I then translated these drawings into simplified geometric shapes and used them to build up units of three-dimensional structure. I chose to use bold, flexible materials that would emulate the strong structures present in the original collection pieces. My final outcomes, although not tailored to a particular discipline have been contextualised as unique jewellery pieces.
