I used the MoDiP collection within my Innovation project and found it to be very helpful. The shapes and lines I selected from the objects were quite simple, but using many items together I found interesting shapes emerged.
Most of the shapes included rectangles, triangles and squares drawn from objects like toasters, lamps, domino boxes and napkin holders.
I enjoyed drawing from the collection as many of the objects were from different eras of time. I used the drawings as inspiration to then cut simple shapes out of many different types of plastics. I then melted them over each other to create new grounds to work on with print and layered processes.
