I was fascinated by the notion of the archetypal museum with precious, priceless pieces in glass cases surrounded by impressive marble. The idea of a plastic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle beaker in this kind of situation amused me.

I was given a translucent butter dish to work with. The glow of the light through the plastic made me think of a UFO coming down to Earth and abducting livestock.

The round shape of the watch reminded me of lily pads on a pond. It also looked as if it could have been a prize in a mechanical claw game, so I combined these two ideas.

I had a watering can to display. I used polymer resin to create water droplets, to hang from the top of the case, and flat puddle shapes to look as if the droplets had reached the bottom of the case.
