The company

Sunseeker is a luxury motor yacht manufacturer. It was created by Robert Braithwaite, subsequently supported by his brother John, who remains the company’s Product Development Director. It began trading as Poole Power Boats in 1969 and its first product, a 17 foot powerboat, was launched in 1970. Nearly 50 years on it is now a world leader in the production of custom and semi-custom built cruisers and superyachts. Since 2013 the company has been owned by the Chinese conglomerate, Dalian Wanda Group.

Beginning as a one man band, it now employs a dedicated team of over 2,000 highly skilled designers, engineers and master craftsmen supported by a worldwide network of over 80 retail and service locations. As of 2018 it exports about 140 yachts a year to more than 45 countries.

Sunseeker prides itself on its pursuance of the more advanced, the more ambitious, and the more creative and consequently the more successful. Their yachts are renowned for their luxury and have had starring roles in James Bond films.
