Flying bird brooch

Description

A brooch in the form of a flying bird. The moulded detail on the underside of the wing, the tail feathers and the legs has been picked out in gold paint, and the eye is a small set-in paste stone. Made from hand finished, cast, tortoiseshell effect acrylic, circa 1930s. This item forms part of the Plastics Historical Society (PHS) collection.
