De La Rue playing card case

A blue rectangular case designed to hold playing cards, consisting a push-on lid with a moulded motif reading DLR (for De La Rue). This compression moulded urea formaldehyde was designed by F. E. Middleditch and manufactured by British Moulded Plastic Ltd, circa 1940s or 1950s. This item forms part of the Plastics Historical Society (PHS) collection.
