AEG Microplastic filter

A white wall mounted filter to be used with a washing machine. The filter is an externally mounted device which filters the out flowing laundry water and captures up to 90% of the microplastics that are larger than 45 microns (0.045mm) released by synthetic clothing. The mesh cartridge inside the filter needs to be cleaned once a week or when the red floater indicator is clearly visible. The fibres removed from the cartridge should be disposed of in the normal rubbish. The advice is to replace the filter cartridge approximately every 6 months and which point it can be recycled as long as it is clean. The filter was made in the EU with at least 50% of the plastic used coming from recycled sources.
