Description

A small hand fan with pierced sticks and solid guard sticks, circa early 20th century. Made from ivory coloured, thin, cellulose nitrate sheet with a metal pivot pin at the base of the sticks, the fan is threaded through with white ribbon. Measurements given are for the open fan.
