Puff-puff bottle

Description

A small concertina-style bottle for Elizabeth Arden Blue Grass dusting powder. The flexible injection moulded polyethylene bottle, with a metalised screw cap, was patented in the United States in 1955 and marketed as the Puff-puff bottle. To use, the screw cap is removed and the index and middle finger place on each side of the neck of the container and the thumb on the base. Squeezing the container in an upright position deliveres dusting powder in a controlled manner. Elizabeth Arden Blue Grass fragrance was introduced in the 1930s. This dusting powder bottle is thought to be mid 20th century.
