Description
This infant lifejacket from Swedish brand Baltic, contains segmented, closed-cell polyethylene foam panels which provide an inherent buoyancy rating of 100 newtons. Suitable for babies and young children within the weight range 0-15kg, the design will enable an infant to turn into the upright position once in the water and keep its airways clear. As the front foam section floats up, the child's bodyweight rotates down and back, with the large collar supporting the head. To achieve this level of safety in adults, a combination of both synthetic foam and inflatable chambers is often necessary. In a durable, high visibility polyester, soft-touch fabric printed with an octopus, dolphin and seahorse pattern, there are two Oralite reflective polyvinyl chloride patches on the head collar, a polyacetal resin buckle and zip, and polypropylene webbing, adjustable crutch strap and whistle.
