Nigroids

Description

A small tin of Nigroids throat sweets, the predecesor to plastics packaging - see AIBDC : 006851. Made by Ferris & Co. Ltd, manufacturing chemists of Bristol, England, the company had first introduced their licquorice lozenges in 1900. The brand was purchased by Ernest Jackson in 1974, with a name change in 2010 to Vigroids. No longer available, this example dates to the mid twentieth century.
