Description

A boxed Pyrex brand glass tumbler in a compression moulded melamine formaldehyde handled holder shaped to fit the glass snugly and insulate the hand of the user against extremes of temperature. The box advertises that the tumbler can be used for both hot and cold drinks. Manufactured cira late 1950s by J A Joblings, the holder was moulded by Insulatrs Jarrow Plastics Division. This design was featured at the 1957 British Plastics Exhibition at Olympia.
