Description

A clarinet in C by Hawkes & Son, London, made in 1925 of Ebonite, also known as Vulcanite, a hard rubber made from chemically altered natural rubber by a process which involves heat and sulphur. The metal keys and parts are made of nickel silver. This example is presented in a modern hard case.
