Description
A Fleetwood brand transistor radio in the form of a globe. The globe sits on a black phenol formaldehyde base, has a downward facing speaker which forms the lower quarter of the globe, and has an aluminium band around the equator bearing the words Transistor Six Fleetwood. The speaker is protected by a cream coloured grille of urea formaldehyde. The gold and silver coloured globe has an outer layer of colourless, transparent acrylic with the on off dial set at the north pole. The tuner is on a sliding aluminium band which runs between the north and south poles.
