Classification

Description

A Grays International shield style throat protector which is used by suspending it from the goalkeeper's helmet in the game of field hockey. It is of rigid, lightweight construction with a PVC coating and has a dense foam backing with an additional shock absorbing foam layer at the base. A lace is threaded through the top edge as a means of attaching it to the helmet. This example is complete with its original packaging.
