Description

A Jif lemon container moulded in the shape of a lemon. Designed by Bill Pugh in 1954 it was one of the earliest applications for blow moulded polythene in the food industry. Its design has remained relatively unchanged since and has become a highly recognisable and distinctive product. No pancake day would be complete without it. Its advertising campaign coined the memorable slogan 'Don't forget the pancakes on Jif Lemon day!' The bottle was originally manufactured by Reckitt and Colman.
