Description
A Global Mamas Trashy bag made of recycled water pouches, from the 2000s. The water sachets from which this bag is made, together with other drinks sachets, account for the majority of litter pollution on the ground in Ghana. By using these recycled bags, Global Mamas, a women's co-operative not-for profit organization assisting women of Africa in attaining economic independence, helps to reduce the problem of litter pollution. A double layer of washed and disinfected water sachets are machine stitched together to form the bag. It has a zip pocket on the front and one on the inside of the bag and fastens with a velcro strap. The bag has two 30cm drop handles.
