Description
This lightweight, portable, mechanical typewriter was launched on 14th February 1969. It was designed by Ettore Sottsass in partnership with Perry King for Olivetti and promoted by a series of posters designed by Milton Glaser. The typewriter has a standard 4 bank, frontstrike QWERTY keyboard and slots into a moulded ABS casing which is fastened in place by two rubber clips or toggles. The keys are in black plastic with white letters. The body of the typewriter and its case are in bright red and the name 'Valentine' features along the front and back edges in raised lettering.
