Description

A navy blue 'Pakamac' brand three quater length rain coat with five buttons, pockets and collar. Pakamac's were often sold with a storage pouch or pocket (not present with this example) made from the same material, and were marketed as the 'Raincoat in your pocket'. Women's examples were usually accompanied by a rain hood of the same material. Early examples, manufactued by Servitor Plastic Products Limited, Manchester had welded seams, pockets, button holes and buttons. This later mid 20th century example is stitched throughout and has buttons probably made of polyester.
