Description

A horn comb with a heavy, ornate, hinged gold coloured metal heading, decorated with three tassels suspended on metal braiding, terminating in pointed conical beads. The heading is fashioned to represent a bow with a central knot decorated with white pearl inset beads. Such combs were fashionable in Britain through the 1850s and 1860s.
