Description

A knuckle or bone holder, c. 19th century, with horn handle and steel grip which is adjusted to accommodate the meat bone by a screw threaded key. The handle is surmounted by a banded finial to which the grip is attached. The handle has been cut from the solid end of the horn, shaved to remove the rough outer surface and polished. This natural plastic item forms part of the Worshipful Company of Horners collection.
