Black Quaich

Description

A moulded, black horn quaich, c. late 19th - early 20th century. The quaich, a traditional Scottish drinking cup, has moulded banding on the underside and shows a natural cream colouring on the underside of one handle and on the base. The word quaich derives from the Gaelic word 'cuach' meaning a cup. This natural plastic item forms part of the Worshipful Company of Horners collection.
