An American powder horn with a domed wooden bung which is carved to accommodate a shoulder strap or cord, c. 1890s. It is engraved 'No. 3 Co. P. Quinn 91'. The legend is set within a heart shape formed by a small leaf pattern. A nozzle would have been fitted at the narrow end of the horn through which the powder would have been poured into a gun barrel. This natural plastic item forms part of the Worshipful Company of Horners collection.
