Description
A tall vacuum jug made from lightly mottled brown compression moulded phenol formaldehyd, circa 1930s, with 'British Moulding' moulded on the base. The phenol formaldehyde case of the jug is made in two parts which screw together to allow access to the glass liner. The jug has a bulbous base which tapers towards the top, and has a pouring spout and handle. The contents are contained inside by means of a cork stopper topped by a phenol formaldehyde grip. This item forms part of the Plastics Historical Society (PHS) collection.
