Rol-a-way ashtray

Description

A maroon coloured Rol-a-way ashtray, circa 1950s, comprising a circular body with chrome- plated steel lid and mechanism. The mechanism is operated by a downwards push which rotates the metal disc which spins the ash etc. outwards and into the base which is made of compression moulded urea formaldehyde. This item forms part of the Plastics Historical Society (PHS) collection.
