Description
This mains or battery operated Ultra R786 Coronation Twin radio has a moulded cabinet with removable panels for cable storage and access to the battery compartment. It is made of compression moulded phenol formaldehyde and urea formaldehyde and was launched in the 1950s to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. The handle is made of a metal reinforced PVC extrusion. This item forms part of the Plastics Historical Society (PHS) collection.
