Daniels press. Photo caption: Pre-heating grade of Bakelite Moulding Material X, 17355, being used in conjunction with the Radyne super R.F. Heater and a Daniels press. This moulding material is primarily intended for the production of large mouldings at low pressure and temperature and with rapid curing. The 15KW Radyne heater operates at approx. 40 mc/s and, to produce the radio cabinets shown, the Daniels press is operated at 160 degrees C and 50 tons pressure, the moulding cycle taking 1 and a half mins.
