Warping frame. Photo caption: On this warping frame in the mill of S. Dugdale, Son & Co. Ltd, Sowerby Bridge, Yorks, all the creel pegs which pass through the bobbins and support them on the frame are made from Bakelite Laminated Tubing, B.152. This material has been put on trial in place of wood because its snag-free surface is calculated to give smoother running and its toughness to extend the working life of the pegs. Some of these pegs have already been in operation for over a year and are still operating satisfactorily. (Lam.Textiles). This item is part of the MoDiP BXL collection.
