Vickers blade section. Photo caption: Bakelie Polyester and Epoxide Resins in the Vickers VA-3 Hovercraft. Photo shows section through a finished blade, showing the stainless steel skin, glass fibre backing and foam interior. Bakelite polyester resin is used for the laminate; Bakelite epoxide resin for bonding aerofoil blades. The fans were built by Dowty Rotol of Dowty Group Limited.
