Melaware tea set

A yellow and white Ranton Melaware melamine tea set, circa 1960s. This tea set comprises six each side plates, cups and saucers, along with a milk jug. The Ranton Melaware range, with its two-colour cups, the white liner flowing over the top of the distinctive handles, was manufactured by the BIP unit and the design is attributed to David Harman Powell. The dimensions below refer to the cup, the saucer is 145mm in diameter and the side plate is 178mm in diameter.
