Description

A red iconic flying saucer or sputnik style Sofono electric heater from the Spacemaster range introduced to the market in 1959, with sharp angular legs and a round grill at the front. The handles and dial on the sides are made of compression moulded urea formaldehyde, this material as it has non-coductive properties and will stay cool even when the heater is on. It was designed by Ralph Ormiston in Scotland in the 1950s.
