Thermo-Plastic cake box

A small cake box fabricated from black, pink and colourless cut sheet and thermoformed acrylic, circa 1950s by Thermo-Plastics Ltd. The pink base of the box is formed from black coloured acrylic sheet, cut out in the centre. A second base layer, formed from pink coloured cut sheet acrylic, is adhered to the black layer, but is slightly smaller. The domed top is made from pink coloured thermoformed acrylic with a hinged colourless front cover. A thermoformed strip of black acrylic is cut, shaped and adhered to the domed top, creating a handle.
