Prevented ocean plastic wine bottle

A flat, slimline bottle designed by Delivering Happiness Limited (trading as Packamama) to enable the delivery of wine through the letter box. The colourless bottle is injection stretch blow moulded and is made from 100% recycled PET from Prevented Ocean Plastic (POP). This low energy material feedstock uses less temperature to blow the bottles compared to glass, and produces a lightweight bottle (weighing only 63g) that further contributes to a reduced carbon footprint through lowering transportation costs. The design of the base has been specially developed to make it more stable, whilst the flat shape of the bottle is 40% spatially smaller than a standard circular wine bottle so it is more efficient to store. The rPET screw cap and collar enables the bottle to be entirely recycled after use. The wine producer, Galoupet Nomade, uses silk screen printing techniques applied directly on to the bottle, which has never been done before with a plastic wine bottle.
