Description
A small, bakelite lined, silver salt pot made by J.Gloster Ltd of Birmingham, circa 1936. It is produced by combining spun silver over a moulded inner layer of bakelite, a process that involves shaping a flat silver disc into a hollow item using a lathe to spin the disc whilst shaping it over a former, in this case the salt pot.
