Thamesdown transport token

Description

An orange coloured transport token, injection moulded in polystyrene (PS). 'Borough of Thamesdown' is moulded into one side and '5p Concessionary fare' in the reverse, with a 'T' stamped out of the middle. Used widely on public transport across the country, plastics tokens were issued by local councils as concessionary fare tokens for certain groups of people under their jurisdiction, eg. schoolchildren. This example likely dates circa 1980s.
