Braun HLD3/31 hairdryer

Description

A black coloured, compact, minimalist Braun HLD3/31 hairdryer with rounded corners and edges. Designed in 1972 by Reinhold Weiss for Braun AG. Model 4425. Originally sold with a case (missing in this example), the hairdryer has a short minimal nozzle and the air intake consists of a series of 11 slits in a rear curve that also serves as the handle. The original rectangular rocker switch Weiss introduced for the HLD 2 range in 1964 has been updated here with a circular yellow button, first seen on Dieter Rams' HLD 4 (1970).
