Description
A small blue coloured beaker, with tapered sides and a round base, made of compression moulded urea formaldehyde. Similar in both appearance and dimension to beakers moulded by Streetly Manufacturing Company (refer PHSL : 254.2), this example has no identifying marks. It was made using Beetle moulding powder (UF) first released in 1925 by British Cyanides Co (to become British Industrial Plastics in 1936) and was given by the company to the donor's grandmother, who worked as a cleaner with BIP from 1915.
