Description
A yellow and white marbled design dressing table pot or powder bowl. This circular ridged container has a similar shaped push on lid, both parts made of compression moulded urea formaldehyde. The material was named Beetle moulding powder and was first released in 1925 by British Cyanides Co (to become British Industrial Plastics in 1936). The object was given by the company to the donor's grandmother, who worked as a cleaner with BIP from 1915.
