Rehook bicycle tyre glider

Description

The Rehook tyre glider was designed by Kevin Baker after struggling to get a tyre off his bike. Inspired by can openers, he developed his idea to clip the lever onto the rim of a bike. A prototype was modelled, 3D printed and then further developed with a manufacturer for over a year. Made from recycled polyoxymethylene (POM), it is extremely strong and lightweight, weighing only 23g. For tyre removal, the tyre glider is scooped under the tyre bead, then turned horizontal to lever the tyre over the rim. It can then be used as a handle to glide around the rim, removing one side of the tyre. For tyre installation, the tyre is pushed back onto the wheel, the tyre glider is clipped onto the rim and then slid around clockwise until the tyre is back on. Quick, easy to use and robust, the compact design works across all bike disciplines.
