Slidaway brush

Description

A Twinco Slidaway hair or clothes brush which folds or slides away into a compact box, circa 1950s. The box, with a slide out lid, contains seven individual rows of bristles set in chanels on the two long sides of the box. When inverted with the lid removed, the bristle bars rotate into the vertical position and are kept in place by sliding the lid of the box into the groove beneath them. The reverse procedure closes the box to its compact arrangement. The box is made from amber coloured polyethylene and the bristles are made from nylon. Measurements given are for the brush when closed.
