Description
The National transistor phonograph is a miniature record player, circa 1950s/1960s, comprising a deck, turntable and arm plus a speaker in the lid with connecting cable. Designed to be portable, it has a carry handle and plays 33, 45 and 78 rpm records. National was a brand used by the Panasonic Corporation (formerly Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd) to sell appliances. Powered by six 1.5v batteries.
