Yellow Quickmix Major

Description

A lemon yellow coloured Quickmix Major manual food mixer from circa 1950, comprising a screw lidded container with internal ridges and fins inside the lid and base. It is made of compression moulded urea formaldehyde and has a rubber seal. The patent application was placed in 1947 by Gerald Arthur Barton and accepted in 1949. This example is complete with original box and printed leaflet. The box indicates that it was retailed through sole selling agents Wilfred T. Scutt (Sales) Ltd. and had a retail price of 6/6 (six shillings and sixpence).
