Galileo teapot

Description

A spherical insulated vacuum teapot on tripod legs designed by design consultancy Slany Design for Leifheit, circa 1990s. The teapot has a screw lid with a leaver which releases part of the inner seal to allow the contents to be poured without the lid having to be removed. The body of the teapot is made from injection moulded polypropylene and has a glass liner. Slany Design was founded by industrial designer Hans Eric Slany in 1956.
