Description

A framed bas-relief style sculpture depicting Venus and Cupid from classical mythology. The plaque is made from compression moulded gutta percha and chalk/flour mix and painted black. Circa late 19th century. This plaque is in a deep wooden frame with gold insert and has a hanging wire on the reverse. There is no back board or glazing to the frame. Dimensions are for the plaque only.
