Description
A framed circular plaque made from compression moulded bois durci depicting Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria. The portrait is in profile and is surmounted by the words PRINCE ALBERT. A small maker's mark is located just below the portrait.The reverse side of the plaque has the moulded inscription BOIS DURCI. A small, unidentified maker's mark is located just below the portrait. The plaque is framed in a varnished, circular, wooden frame with attached brass hanger. Measurements given are for the framed plaque.
