Description
A Beaufort B6 shaving brush with a lathe turned resin handle set with pure badger hair knot. The Simpson company was established in 1919 in London. The factory was destroyed in the Blitz in WW2 and Simpson moved his company to Chard in Somerset, sharing production facilities with the Coates company. In 1990 the two companies went into receivership and were purchased by David Carter and Francis Woodhouse. In 2008, following the retirement of the business owners the Simpson name was purchased by Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Ltd, based on the Isle of Man, who continue to manufacture quality hand-made shaving brushes.
