Shinku paintbrush, size 4

A filbert, shinku, size 4, artist's paintbrush with synthetic fibres made from polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). A filbert brush is a combination of a flat, rectangular brush with a rounded end so it can create a variety of marks and is particularly effective in blending. A stiff brush but softer than hog, the Shinku is a vegan alternative from Jackson's, suitable for use with oils and acrylics. The 'shiny', smooth, red coloured fibres glide easily through the medium and have a good spring and snap.
