Description

An extruded PVC sheet pickguard (also known as a scratchplate) for a Martin-style acoustic guitar, simulating tortoiseshell. Attached beneath the sound hole, it serves to protect the guitar from being scratched by the plectrum or pick when the strings are played. It measures less than 1mm in thickness to prevent any alteration to the tone or volume of the instrument. With bevelled edges and backed with adhesive film, it is the size normally used on dreadnoughts and jumbo guitars.
