Tall candlestick

Description

A candlestick or candle holder made from compression moulded phenol formaldehyde with a light mottled effect. The stick has been made in four separate parts which are joined together with brass screws. The top section which holds a candle has a thin brass liner. It is designed with a tapering square form classical column on a round base, its simplicity giving it an Art Deco look. Although unmarked, this candlestick is in the style of those designed by Charles Renee Mackintosh and produced by Linsden Ware.
