Dentocoll perfotray

Description

A perforated, metal, dental impression tray, used to make a mould of the upper jaw (the superior or maxillary dental arch). A dental impression is an accurate reproduction of the dental arches from which a cast can be made. A moulding material is packed into the tray which is then placed in the patient's mouth for them to bite down on. Once set, the impression is removed from the mouth, showing an imprint of the teeth, palate and gums. The template can then be used to create a set of dentures. The tray was made by ADCO the Amalgamated Dental Company Limited.
